Crowd Defense™ #5: Pre-Violent Solutions Post Charlottesville

The things I’ve been warning about have come to pass. The FBI has opened an investigation into the “alt-right.”  What do you think that means?  It means that they have wide ranging power to do whatever they want.  Who’s alt-right?  Who isn’t?  I’m not sure anymore.  As a citizenry, we’ve played right into their hands again.  A broad investigation has been opened and it could bring in anyone who anyone can claim is “alt-right.”  I’m sure readers will notice that no such investigation has been opened into Antifa.

Crowd Defense is for people who are forward thinking. Protests do not lend themselves to forward thinking because of the chaos.  For this reason, Crowd Defense is changing its focus from riot specific policy to supporter driven, pre-violent solutions.  The mission of Crowd Defense is to develop pre-violent solutions to neutralize dangerous people who are a looming threat to your physical safety. Support the project here:  https://hatreon.us/crowddefense/

As a supporter, you can help us identify frequently experienced problems. Crowd Defense will analyze and solve these scenarios using legal and other professional services.  For example:

The Drug Dealer Downstairs

You are renting an apartment and have bad neighbors who you suspect are dealing drugs. You’ve seen what appears to be a gun during these transactions.  You are worried that these people or their clients present a burglary or assault risk.

For this scenario, we will address landlord tenant rights, certain realities about creating a record with police, and other strategies. We will address how to report these crimes while remaining anonymous and avoiding doxxing and FOIA requests.

Terrorist Across the Street

People living across from your home sometimes go door-to-door asking for donations to non-existent charities and appear to be Muslim. They routinely stock and empty their yard of Tacoma trucks.  So many people come and go that it is hard to know who lives there.

For this scenario, we will address how to create a record with the police, Homeland, and ICE. We will also figure out whether they rent or own.  If they rent, we can figure out how to put pressure to the landlord.  We can also discuss how to find and report zoning violations.

Pedophile in the Neighborhood

Your creepy, old neighbor has loud, late, drunken parties. Underage boys are seen leaving those parties very late at night.

For this scenario, we will show how to identify people on the sex offender registry. We will address how to report parole violation.  We will describe how to report things to the police in a way that maximizes the likelihood that something gets done.

Riot Downtown

You work in a densely populated urban area that has had some rioting. You are worried that you will be caught up in a violent protest someday.

For this scenario, we can suggest some basic protection such as ballistic backpack inserts. We can also discuss legal issues on what you can do if people attempt to stop your vehicle.

I have personally dealt with most of these examples. Others, I have been involved with in an advisory capacity.  We can address others that are proposed by the supporters.

In these difficult situations, your safety is at risk. If you wait for a self-defense situation, you can face criminal charges even if you win.  If you do nothing, your property is at risk every time you leave.  And your person is at risk every time you return home.  If you take action without thinking it through, you could create an opportunity for someone to sue you or accidentally commit your own crime.

No one but you and yours can take proactive measures. Police can seldom do anything until there is a crime, and even then they have no obligation to protect you.  Lawyers also prefer that damages have already been done, and then charge you between $150 and $300 per hour to try to help you recover your losses.  By taking a proactive approach, we can win before it becomes a police matter or a lawsuit.

I am an attorney, and I understand how to think ahead to avoid a problem before quantifiable damages or crimes result. I’m also more versatile and able to introduce other disciplines:  training, business, private investigation, group action.  With your support, we can solve problems before they become crimes or civil damages.  With this general information, you can save money on professional services or even solve the problem on your own.  You should prepare for a self-defense situation, but doing nothing while you wait is too risky and expensive.  Don’t fight. Just win.

Information, opinions, and communications provided are for informational purposes only because the laws of your jurisdiction may differ. They are based on general legal principles and are not intended for the purpose of providing specific legal advice or opinions. Under no circumstances does this constitute the establishment of an attorney-client relationship. Do not send confidential or sensitive information to me because your communication will not be treated as privileged or confidential. No communications you send will prohibit me, my law firm, or my other businesses from representing different clients in the same matter. By sending information, you consent to the subsequent use of that information. Do not send information that could be significantly harmful if used against you. Backpack inserts are offered through Nolan Products and Services LLC dba Coyotl.
